Dutch Braid

                                                         Dutch Braid

The dutch braid  is very similar to the french braid. If you know how to french braid, learning the dutch braid will be a breeze. If you don't its won't be that hard either.

This lens will give you step by step instructions and videos on how to make this braid and other hair style variations using this type of braid.

Don't get discouraged the first time you try. Get a friend or a family member to be your model as you practice this braid. Once you master the basics of this type of braid the other hairstyle variations will come easy!

1. Divide into Three

Take three strips of hair that start from the front of your hairline, number them to yourself 1, 2, and 3.

2. Braid

Braid as you normally would--taking strand 1 and pulling it under strand number 2, and then taking strand 3 and pulling it under strand 2. Your are essentially braiding normally, except you are pulling the strands under each other rather than over.

3. Add

Take a strip of hair starting at the hairline and add it to the strand of the braid closest to it, do the same on the other side. Now with the added hair braid your hair again.

4. Follow Through

Continue steps 2 and 3 until there is no hair left to add, and then braid normally with the rest of your hair.
